RECRUITMENT FOR THE RESIDENCY PROGRAM CALLED AIR MODERNISM, IS DEDICATED TO REPRESENTATIVES OF CREATIVE AND SCIENTIFIC CIRCLES FROM WROCŁAW, CHEMNITZ AND TBILISI.
The recruitment is addressed to visual artists, designers, architects and researchers of various fields living, born, studying or creating in one of the three cities: Wroclaw, Chemnitz, Tbilisi.
The international and based on partnership residency project focuses on an interdisciplinary approach to modernism. The aim of the residency is to map how Wroclaw, Chemnitz and Tbilisi reflected pan-European ideas, i.e. modernism, what was their status in the past and what is today, and how changes in time and space (East / West) have influenced modernism and its perception?
The residence is also intended to network Polish, German and Georgian artistic environments and institutions. Selected residents will have the opportunity to conduct a field study, on the basis of which they will create their own research / artistic / creative notes. AIR Modernism gives the opportunity to hold a residence in Wrocław, and in the future also in other two cities.

The call for proposals conducted by the Culture Zone Wrocław and its partners is part of AIR Wrocław's residency programme, study visits and international cooperation, which remained in Wrocław after the year of the European Capital of Culture 2016. AIR Wrocław aims to support the mobility and promotion and international cooperation of artists, and thus build and strengthen international cultural relations.
