West Papua is the western half of what Australians know as Papua New Guinea. Rich in resources, It is Australia’s closest neighbour, just 250kms off our northern coast. Since the Indonesian occupation in 1962, it’s estimated over 500,000 Papuans have been murdered by Indonesian military.

Music is a Weapon that will free my people”. „Punks for West Papua” is the movie about the fight for freedom, the power of music and culture.
