‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ and ‘EXIT’ Foundation, within the residential programme commemorating Ismet Atić, cultural worker who influenced the cultural scene of Novi Sad, in cooperation with the ‘AIR Wro’ programme by Culture Zone Wrocław and the Centre for Artistic Activities ‘Firlej’ from Wrocław in Poland, launch:
for the selection of cultural managers and producers who will be given a chance to stay and gain experience regarding the implementation of concrete projects in Wrocław in the period of two weeks, from 14 until 28 October. Selected candidate will assist in the production of the Futurum event, meet with local artistic circles and different organisations and institutions from Wrocław.
The call is open until 31 August at midnight, announcement of results on September 15th
The candidate should meet the following requirements:
- he/she is of legal age and national of the Republic of Serbia;
- he/she has a residence on the territory of the city of Novi Sad;
- he/she should not be older than 40 years;
- he/she should have minimal experience in production of music events or prior knowledge of production (students of production will have advantage)
- he/she speaks English fluently;
- he/she should be creative, communicative and a team player.
Necessary documentation for the call:
Short biography in English no longer than 4 pages, listing prior knowledge or experience in this field.
Motivational letter where a candidate explains reasons for the residence, which is no longer than 500 words. The letter should present ideas, which candidates would like to implement in their further work, segment of production they find the most interesting, etc. Furthermore, candidates should state to which extent they are familiar with work of Mr Atić, and which of his numerous projects left a considerable mark in the cultural life of Novi Sad and why.

The residence is implemented in commemoration of Ismet Atić, one of the founders of the ‘Mladost’ Cultural Centre in Futog and long-time president of the Association of Amateurs of Novi Sad. He worked in the field of culture and art in Novi Sad for forty years and participated in organisation of more than three thousand programmes in different fields of culture and art.
Ismet Atić (1950-2017) was awarded October Prize of the City of Novi Sad for 2015. Grandfather, mastermind, producer, director and main organiser of numerous manifestations and festivals, as well as programmes who initiated the idea of Novi Sad being awarded this prestigious title of the European Capital of Culture. A visionary and man who selflessly devoted himself in order to make our city better.
