An imaginative encounter – open studio with Taavi Suisalu

Autor: Culture Zone Wrocław

WRO Art Center, along with 10 partners, including the leading European media art organizations, institutions and festivals, launches the European Media Art Platform (EMAP), which is the largest international platform of artistic exchange and residency projects for media artists in Europe.

Taavi Suisalu, an Estonian media artist and the first resident of the EMAP/EMARE – European Media Art Platform, has stayed at WRO Art Center in April and May 2018. During his residency, he worked on a new interactive installation Subocean botlights, which will be presented during the next year’s jubilee edition of the WRO Biennale.

While waiting for the final effect of the work, on Thursday, Jul 12, 2018, we’d like invite you to a meeting with Taavi in an open studio formula. The artist will talk about his creative practices, selected works and assumptions of the latest project. Everything in a loose holiday atmosphere, with Études in Black, or a cosmic sound composition for inaccurate satellites in the background.

The EMAP/EMARE program is co-financed by the “Creative Europe” program of the European Union. In 2018, the EMAP/EMARE program is supported by the Culture Zone Wrocław within the programme AIR Wro.
