Culture Zone Wrocław within the framework of AIR Wro programme and Berlinerpool Arts Network are glad to announce the launch of an open call for a one-month long residency in Berlin. Therefore, cultural, artistic and academic actors from Wrocław and Lower Silesia are invited to apply.

AIR WRO is a programme of residences, study visits and international cooperation created within the framework of Culture Zone Wrocław. The goal of AIR Wro is to support and promote the activities of artists representing various fields of culture and art, who are interested in cooperation with representatives of local communities and circles, as well as those willing to build international cultural relations.

BERLIN SESSIONS RESIDENCIES is a platform conceived to offer curatorial expertise, network building and logistic support in the art sector to artists and cultural professionals who are interested in gaining an insight into Berlin’s vibrant art scene.

The aim of the residency program is a mapping of the city focusing on models of cooperation between organizations, Berlin’s actors, and citizens. According to the needs of the project suggested by a resident, Berlin Sessions will schedule series of meetings and conversations with managers of independent art spaces and initiatives, festivals, cultural projects and representatives of governmental institutions.  The series of interviews and research on structures supporting cultural activities will serve as a collection of innovative and best practice examples. Some of which could be adapted in the framework of future projects. At the end of the residency, a final presentation of the findings is planned.
