Culture of Mobility 2020: meet next participants in the program

We announce the second round of this year's Culture of mobility results! Centro Negra, an art centre in Blanca, in the southeast of Spain, is another place where a representative of the cultural world from Wrocław will go. Congratulations!

Culture of Mobility 8.0: Folksy Tropics

Since this year's call we have introduced a very important change: applications to Culture of Mobility are considered throughout the year and the results are announced on a bimonthly basis. We would like to remind all those interested who have not confirmed their trips yet, or are facing difficulties resulting from unexpected circumstances and restrictions related to the pandemic - we would like to remind you that you have the opportunity to submit your applications by 15 October, and the trips can be completed by 10 December.

Whose trip is supported this time?

At the beginning of June, Maria Łuc will take part in the artistic residency program run by the AADK Spain platform (Aktelle Achitektur Der Kultur). The activities of the platform are concentrated in Centro Negra, an art center located in the town of Blanca, in the Murcia region, in the south-east of Spain. As a last year's graduate of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, since September last year, the artist has been in Blanca, doing her internship within the Erasmus+ program. Being in a small town away from the epicentre of the pandemic, Maria decided to undergo a forced quarantine during her 3-week residence in Centro Negra. The young artist intends to use the materials and observations collected during her several-month internship in this place. With the help of spontaneous photographs, films, notes and drawings she wants to create a multimedia installation, which she hopes to present during the cyclical exhibition "Open Studios".
