“Experts Visits” at the symposium in Berlin

Autor: Strefa Kultury Wrocław

Thanks to Berlin_culture forum_Wrocław on 26 and 27 September in Berlin, Polish music curators will participate in the symposium "imagining music in 2052 - contemporary music in global contexts".

The symposium is organized by field notes and Akademie der Künste as part of the Month of Contemporary Music. The two-day meeting mean to be a space for reflection on intercultural cooperation and forms of work in a global context.

Social transformation processes, such as globalization, digitalization, migration and mobilization, have an impact on permanent cultural transformations around the world and directly affect the processes of artistic work in contemporary music. Intercultural thinking and reflection on discourses and formats has long been an important element of the concept of concert projects, festival programmes and funding mechanisms, as well as the development of networks. The symposium will create a space in which individually developed expertise can be developed together in the future.

Thanks to the project of "Experts Visits", which is one of the elements of the Berlin_forum of culture_Wrocław, field notebooks could invite Polish curators, organizers, artists and ensembles to Berlin in order to build lasting cooperation in the field of contemporary music.

The "Experts Visits" project is part of Berlin_culture forum_Wrocław initiated and implemented by Convivium Berlin e.V., Kulturzug / Train to Culture, Strefa Kultury Wrocław within the framework of the AIR Wro programme in cooperation with field notes and Akademie der Künste. The "Experts Visits" project is supported and financed by the Senate of the City of Berlin for Culture and Europe.
