The first stage of the BERLIN_cultural forum_WROCŁAW

Between 22nd and 23rd of November, nine representatives of Wroclaw cultural scene took part in the Polish-German Cultural Forum in Maxim Gorki Theater. Berlin cultural environment, consisting of dozen artist from the fields of dance, music and photography,  joint the group on Thursday. Presentations by international experts from various fields of art were included in the programme and conducted by Be van Vark – dance, Joanna Kosowska – photography, Lisa Benjes – music.

The first stage: Berlin-Wrocław

In addition to numerous discussions, workshops and study visits in Berlin, participants witnessed a dance performance by Cecile Bally – “The price is right” – at Sophiensaelle and participated in a concert of “Mouse on Mars Dimensional People Ensemble” at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt.

At 24.11 representatives of both Wrocław and Berlin went to Poland by the Kulturzug and enjoyed the curated programme. In Wrocław they visited several cultural institutions.

Cooperation in the future

What’s next for us? We plan to continue in February when yet another Forum will be held in Berlin. This edition will be dedicated mostly to developing our ideas for cooperation between Berlin and Wrocław.

The project took place thanks to the cooperation of Convivium Berlin e.V., the team of Berlin-Wrocław Kulturzug, the Culture Zone Wrocław within the framework of AIR Wro, and thanks to the financial support of the Berlin Senate for Culture and Europe.
