GEH8: call for a residency in Dresden is launched

Culture Zone Wrocław, within the framework of AIR Wro, GEH8 Art Space and Studios and the city of Dresden – Culture and Monument Preservation Office jointly open a call for applications for a residency in GEH8 in Dresden for curators of contemporary art from Wrocław and Lower Silesia, Poland.

The call is organised within the cooperation of the two sister cities – Dresden and Wrocław. The chosen resident will be living and working close to the city centre in Dresden and will be closely connected to the location and the network of GEH8 Art Space and Studios, an artists’ initiative and project space for contemporary art and music. Residency is a part of an exchange programme, which in May 2018 will offer a similar residency in Wrocław to a curator coming from Dresden.

GEH8 Art Space and Studios is a dynamic space of art production and its presentation. It was founded in 2007 as an artist initiative in Dresden in a former railway-container-terminal. Since then the location has developed to an important size in the Dresden contemporary art-scene with ongoing projects within a growing international network of contacts.
