Natalia Pośnik at the Tętno Gallery within the framework of AIR Wro

Autor: Culture Zone Wrocław

Our creative exchange with the 2018's European Capital of Culture, Valletta in Malta, resulted in two residencies. One of them is related to urban analogue photography and it will be presented in Wrocław for the first time at the Tętno Gallery (27.09-7.10.2018). "How not to fight with the city?" exhibition is a summary of Natalia Pośnik's residency, as a result of cooperation between the Culture Zone Wrocław, Blitz, European Capital of Culture Valletta 2018 and Arts Council Malta.

Natalia Pośnik – a student in the Faculty of Architecture at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, an artist who combines her passion for the city with the medium of analogue photography. Her residence in Valletta, Malta, was connected with the study of the city' character, the definition of which she placed somewhere between time, place – architecture, spatial development and subsequent layers of history recorded in the buildings of Valletta – and the local community that inhabits the urban fabric. The motive that the artist seems to return to in her project is the relationship between humans and the city, which Pośnik considers to be the basis of her photographic narration. In this way, she reminds us that it is us, our families and loved ones, who create the cities in which we live.

You're kindly invited to join us during the opening of the "How not to fight with the city?" exhibition at Tętno Gallery (Jatki Street 12/12, 50-11 Wrocław) on the 27.09 from 19:00.

The exhibition will be available for the public from 27.09 til 7.10.2018 accordingly to the gallery's opening hours (Monday-Friday 11:00-18:00, Saturday 10:00-18, Sunday 10:30-15:30).
