Artist talk with Mateusz Peringer and Elizaveta Barsegova in Berlin

The cooperation between the Wrocław Cultural Zone and the Berlin Sessions Residency started three years ago. It’s based on residencies of creative individuals from Wrocław, who go to Berlin to explore local creative setor there. This year, Mateusz Peringer, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Wrocław, and a member of the “Zakwas” Social Cooperative, went to the capital city of Germany to see how the creative industry works there.

During his stay in Berlin, Peringer observed the strategies of the German creative sector and social cooperatives, focusing in particular on the closed- circuit  economy and sustainable design solutions.

His residency will be summarized during a meeting at the Weisser Elefant Gallery, where Mateusz Peringer and Elizaveta Barsegova will talk about materials used by designers, social cooperatives and socially engaged initiatives, as well as about sustainable development and the closed- circuit  economy in design. The meeting is organised as a following event to the “Futures of our Past” exhibition.
