Our cooperation with artists from European sister cities of Wrocław was initiated back in 2015. Since then we have hosted artists active in the field of visual arts (Verena Blok, Svea Duwe), new media (Fabien Zocco, Mathilde Lavenne), performance (Daina Pupkevičiūtė), as well as activities related to collective memory of the city (Enrico Floriddia) or excluded communities (Klaas Burger). Our activities were based on working with the local artistic environment, often enabling the involvement of the inhabitants of our city. This year, artists from Breda (the Netherlands), Lille and Poitiers (Department La Vienne/France), Dresden and Wiesbaden (Germany), Grodno (Belarus), Hradec Králové (Czech Republic), Kaunas and Vilnius (Lithuania), Lviv (Ukraine), Oxford (The United Kingdom) and Reykjavik (Iceland) are invited to join the upcoming self-publishing laboratory.

What is of interest to us? Graphic design in digital and analogue forms, remix and re-use cultures, publications related to local communities and their stories, art and photobooks, D.I.Y. culture, as well as mapping of grassroots initiatives related to urban movements and independent scene. The artist selected by us will join a temporary collective of artists, activists, curators and cultural theorists who will organize a series of meetings, workshops, meetings and artistic presentations at the Reception - one of the venues of the Culture Zone Wrocław.
