Summer „Cultural Guide” is back in paper!

We are glad to present the July/August issue of the “Wrocław Cultural Guide”. We’re in fact very happy because of that, since after months of purely digital publishing the sound of turning freshly printed pages is a music to our ears.

The summer issue of the “Cultural Guide” invites you to both celebrate and to go on trips. In year 2020 there are many anniversaries worth celebrating – four of them we have already described in the May/June special issue. While reading the current one you can learn about five more such occasions (including the anniversaries of the Racławice Panorama, the White Stork Synagogue, and Barbara venue). Another opportunity for celebration is the Wrocław Flower Festival. These rather forgotten floristic festivities are presented by Iwona Kałuża and Filip Marek – initiators behind the idea to revitalise the event.

This summer we’ll probably have to refrain from long distance travel. However – while maintaining all sanitary recommendations and social distance – we no longer have to #StayAtHome. The European Night of Literature will take us on a trip around Powstańców Śląskich district – which will at the same time be a journey through the works of European writers. The event’s curator – Max Cegielski – tell us all about it in the interview. With the summer issue in hand all the city tourists are welcome to visit “its majesty” Leśnica (a micro guide around this “city within a city” was compiled based on the materials from the Leśnica Social Archive). Anyone, who is longing for some outdoor relaxation, may want to visit Tarczyn near Sudety mountains (where the FLOWLAND art picnic will be held in the late summer).

We wish you all a very cultural – and healthy – holidays!
