We know the results of the April’s open call for Culture of Mobility programme!

We are announcing the first round of the results of this year's Culture of Mobility. Participation in the Cité internationale des arts residency program in Paris and a trip to the Pamoja Zanzibar Festival - these are the foreign initiatives, during which representatives of culture staff from Wrocław and Lower Silesia will present their work to the international audience.

In the first deadline alert for Culture of Mobility programme that lasted from April 1 to 17 this year, we waited for proposals of participation in foreign projects as part of artistic residencies, study visits, art reviews, conferences or other events and projects, thanks to which artists from Wrocław and Lower Silesia have the opportunity to develop their skills, present their activities and build international relations. In 2021, we introduced a significant change: applications for networking trips aimed at acquiring partners are also accepted!

Whose trips are supported this time?

Mo Abd Ulla, visual artist, curator of shows and workshops, lecturer and doctoral student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, will go to Paris at the beginning of July, where he will implement the MONU-MENT project. The artist will examine the issue of collective memory and memorials, as well as the historical evolution of monuments in France. The trip will be part of the Cité internationale des arts residency program, which is based on collaboration between artists and creative cultural practitioners, providing them with a dynamic and inspiring work environment.

Radek Bond Bednarz, Łukasz Dembiński, Piotr Gospodarczyk, Matylda Gerber and Filip Zakrzewski representing the NGOMADS music group, will travel to Zanzibar to join the Pamoja Zanzibar Festival, also in July. Apart from concerts, the festival program will include cognitive, pro-social and educational events. Group members will take part in meetings with local musicians from Zanzibar, Tanzania, Kenya and artists from other parts of the world. Thanks to the cooperation with the Dhow Countries Music Academy, the musicians will conduct workshops with the participation of students and teachers of the DCMA Academy.

Congratulations to the winners and winners!
