Culture of Mobility

In the third deadline alert for Culture of Mobility programme that lasted from June 16 to September 15 this year, we waited for proposals of participation in foreign projects as part of artistic residencies, study visits, art reviews, conferences or other events and projects, thanks to which artists from Wrocław and Lower Silesia have the opportunity to develop their skills, present their activities and build international relations. In 2021, we introduced a significant change: applications for networking trips aimed at acquiring partners are also accepted!

Whose trips are supported this time?

Maria Łuc, within the project entitled "Cycle", will have a 3-month artistic residency at Casa ARO, in Oaxaca (Mexico). In cooperation with Tomo Sone (Kyoto, Japan), a friendly dancer and choreographer, she will create an interdisciplinary performance. Magda Zambrzycka, a director from Wroclaw, will organize art and film workshops for teenage refugees from the Moria camp on the island of Lesbos (Greece). As part of the workshop, short films will be made by the young migrants. The project refers to the ethical crisis related to the growing wave of refugees in Europe. The resulting films will be presented to Wrocław audiences in late autumn at the Tętno gallery.
