The backyard at Ruska 46 brings together artists, cultural institutions and galleries. In 2015, employees of the European Capital of Culture Wrocław 2016 – these days known as the Wrocław Culture Zone – also came to this place. Offices occupy a large part of segment B on the first floor, and their windows overlook the yard between “Hanka” and “Kino Ognisko” neon signs. During the European Capital of Culture year, that space was where the majority of creative design ideas were born: the office hosted about 70 employees of the ECoC Wrocław 2016 Programming Department, who worked round the clock preparing cultural projects for the city. Since 2017, the office space of the Wrocław Culture Zone at Ruska 46 has been a place of work for the Programming, Production, Accounting and Administration departments.
In 2018, the next location of the Wrocław Culture Zone will be launched – Reception, which will occupy the club space, which is open to the backyard. It will be a place of casual meetings, exchange of thoughts and information, creative activities and relaxation. During the day, visitors will be able to work there at a shared table, drink aromatic coffee, focus thanks to the surrounding silence and plants, in the evening the place will offer an opportunity to meet friends and catch a breath after a long day. At any time, the visitors will also be able to learn everything about the cultural activities of the community centred around the Ruska 46 Backyard. The Reception club, which is located in the very heart of the artistic enclave, is a place representing the community of neighbouring interests of the Ruska 46 Backyard, and at the same time a point of alternative cultural information and artistic activities.
