During the residency in Kunstnarhuset Messen in Ålvik (Norway), Agnieszka Gotowała will develop her artistic project entitled "Crystal Identity". She will create a series of photographs developed on the basis of various techniques – her project will include both visual and performative pratices.

The subject of the project is related to the search for identity, the discovery of evidence of existence through a complex interaction with nature. The long-term and short-term processes occurring in nature, the diversity and variability of natural states, and the integrity of its individual elements have been important for the implementation of the work. The artist is interested in symbiosis and autonomy in dependence between internal and external landscapes and their mutual bond. As part of the events organized in the "open studio" formula, Gotowała will present her residency work in the process.

Agnieszka Gotowała – multidisciplinary artist from Poland, who works within the visual and performance arts. Gotowała is a graduate of the University of the Arts in Poznań and the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. She focuses on the processes of the research, exploration and transformation in the fields of states of human and nature, and the memory and identity they contain.
