In December 2017 Maciej Bujko, director of TIFF Festival and TIFF Center, went on a study visit to Tokyo and Takamatsu. His visit was part of the "Culture of Mobility" programmw, which we created to support the mobility of artists and cultural operators from our region. During his stay, Maciej realised, among others, the exhibition of photographs by Witold Romer "Forgotten light of the private days" at Kanzan Gallery in Tokyo and co-created the next stage of the project "European Eyes on Japan" - an exhibition of works by Łukasz Rusznica as part of the Setophoto festival.
Maciej Bujko – programme director of TIFF Festival, curator and cultural manager. He graduated photographic department at Institut of Creative Photography in Opava and Polish National Filmschool in Łodź where he’s currently working on his PhD. In 2010 he was one of co-founders of TIFF Collective and TIFF Festival. Since 2017 he’s participating in creation of TIFF Center. Nowadays he focuses on developing of photographic life in Wrocław (in broader frameworks of contemporary art) and dreams about further development of TIFF. Beside of professional work, together with his friends he’s looking for a plot in Sudety mountains and planning to build a cabin with his own hands.
