The aim of the study visit of Magdalena Kreis in Villa Zebra - a museum for children located in Rotterdam - is professional development and the opportunity to establish new contacts with people involved in the creation of institutions, exhibitions and programs aimed at children.

During a study visit, Kreis will also visit other institutions in Rotterdam and Amsterdam and look at their proposals for children, families and schools. In addition to visits to museums and galleries, it also plans meetings with representatives of education departments in individual institutions, including Moco Museum, Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art, Kunsthal Rotterdam, Stedelijk Museum or Rijksmuseum.

Magdalena Kreis – creator, educator, cultural animator. From over 8 years she develops workshops and audience-oriented projects, usually working with children and their relatives – parents, teachers, guardians. She works on the principle from idea to implementation. She invents, coordinates, supports.

Her main projects are: "3D – Design For Kids" (together with Natalia Romaszkan, since 2010, Dizajn Gallery BWA Wroclaw), "Sunday Matinée" (from 2014, WRO Art Center), "Little WRO" (from 2015, as a part of WRO Media Art Biennale). From February, weekly she writes about books for children about art and museums/galleries for #muzealniaki – kids-friendly action.

Currently, she is working on "Little WRO" programme within the frame of the WRO Biennale 2019, which will focus on the WRO archives. She's also creating a special exhibition to be a part of the 22nd Biennale of Art for Children Art as a Meeting in Poznan / Poland (opening: June 2019).
