Maja Dokudowicz

The City of Wrocław in cooperation with the Sister City of Dresden has been organizing a residency exchange for artists specializing in workshop graphics for three years now. This year, Maja Dokudowicz is going to the Grafikwerkstatt Studio in Dresden, where she is going to make art works about the city by means of fragments found there, which are deprived of their status. They are not an artifact, they are not lost, they are not even noticed, and they co-create the public space of the city. Through the use of found fragments, as well as classical and experimental techniques of intaglio and convex printing in his graphic works, she intends to render the texture, colour and complexity of the creation that is the city, and in this particular case Dresden.
