Vinicius Libardoni is a Brazilian-Italian architect and printmaker. He received his
Architecture bachelor's degree back in 2012, honored for the best academic
performance in the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) Brazil, and
has also being awarded with the “1st Prize for Graduated Architecture and Urban
Planning Students” by the Institute of Brazilian Architects (IAB-SC) in August
2013. He received his MFA in Visual Arts in 2019 at the Akademia Sztuk Pięknych
im. Eugeniusza Gepperta in Wrocław, where he is currently enrolled in the PhD
program of the Doctoral School. From his objective experience he approaches
architectural structures through a subjective artistic point of view. His artwork
focuses on structures which are forgotten, abandoned or neglected, suspended
between their past glory and the uncertain future.

The Dresden residence will be an opportunity to discover the architecture of the city and search for forgotten buildings. Artist is planning to create images that hopely will move people and affect them emotionally. However, he believes that hus project can support the debate on preserving architecture and memory in two closely related cities, such as Wrocław and Dresden. Stay in Grafikwerkstatt studio is planned for autumn 2021.
