Job shadowing

Year of birth: 1987 Field: Cultural projects management City: Wrocław

Culture Zone Wrocław – as an institution which, after a year of celebrating the European Capital of Culture 2016, continues to develop cooperation in the network of cities holding the ECoC title – since 2018 has hosted cultural managers during study visits organised as part of the AIR Wro programme in the form of "job shadowing".

In 2019, the first visit to Wrocław was made by Vladimir Radmanović, who works as a translator and as a member of the international relations team at the ECoC Novi Sad 2021 office. He is, among others, the coordinator of programmes supporting the mobility of local creative circles, such as Plants AiR (artistic residencies) or Kizuna (in cooperation with the EU-Japan Fest). Radmanović is a graduate of English and Literature at the University of Novi Sad.

During a study visit in Wrocław at the turn of March and April this year, Radmanović participated in the international conference on culture AIR Wro Talks, also organised by Culture Zone Wrocław as part of the AIR Wro programme, but first of all he became acquainted with Wrocław institutions and organisations that run artist-in-residence programmes and develop cooperation with foreign partners, including the WRO Art Centre, OP ENHEIM, TIFF Center, Wrocław House of Literature and BWA Wrocław. In addition, Radmanović also had the opportunity to learn how, after a year of celebrating the ECoC in Wrocław, the programmes initiated at that time operate, such as Microgrants, Neighbouring (formerly Entrance from the backyard) and AIR Wro, the younger ones, such as LWOWRO or Wrocław Publication Programme, as well as festivals such as WROsound and European Literature Night.
