City and Culture: Good evening in Wrocław!

Autor: Culture Zone Wrocław

The evening program of the "City and Culture" onference refers to the tradition of Wrocław's neon signs, which we celebrate at the Reception venue located in the yard at Ruska 46.

In 1960, Janusz Tarantowicz designed the symbolic "Good evening in Wrocław" neon sign, which was then placed on a block of flats in front of the Central Railway Station building. This project was the first neon of this size in the public space of the city, for many decades it was associated closely with the openness and kindness of the inhabitants of Wrocław. The figure evading the hat and expecting guests with a flower in hand seems to be symbolic for many visitors to Wrocław.

Meanwhile, in the courtyard at Ruska 46, you can find an archive of neon signs collected from all over Wrocław in one place. In this yard, the Culture Zone Wrocław opened its newest space - Reception - which we invite you to on October 18th after 9:00 pm. During the "City and Culture", an important aspect of our work has not escaped us: networking. Let's meet, therefore, talking about a compromise or a lack of it, exchanging experiences and, above all, getting to know each other better. What's on the menu?

21: 00-21: 30

"Compromise according to Odra Studio", meaning about cooperation between the creative department and clients who order graphic materials. A topic commonly known, this time presented by the ironic line of Matylda Bruniecka and Kamil Lach of the Odra Studio. In the end, the compromise has many faces, right?
