Practical research in culture – methods, goals, benefits

Autor: Culture Zone Wrocław

The continuation of the series of "Culture Practitioners" workshops will take place on June 19 at the Reception - a new venue of the Culture Zone Wrocław. This time, we will look at the practical aspects of the sector's research with particular emphasis on tools that do not require large financial outlays from the organizers, at the same time they enable them to create and adapt the program to the real needs of the recipients. The creators of the cultural offer interested in urban issues and the analysis of relations between various entities creating the city's culture are invited to participate in the workshop.

The aim of the workshop is to discuss and test basic research tools that can be successfully used in the daily work of cultural practitioners. Participants will get acquainted with the methods of “launching” knowledge through simple qualitative research, especially in the context of programming and co-creating activities with selected groups of recipients. We will consider how this kind of research can help to establish and strengthen relationships with the public, improve the quality of participation in organized events, define problems within a given process or organization, and introduce “corrective actions”. The starting point for this workshop will be to discuss easy-to-use and effective research techniques, as well as ways of working with findings that do not require the employment of external experts or the launch of significant financial resources.

The workshops are conducted in Polish, and participation in them is free after making a prior registration to the e-mail address: praktycycultury@strefakultury.pl. The declaration of willingness to participate in the workshop is tantamount to consenting to the processing of personal data and the use of the image of participants as part of the “Culture Practitioners”.
