City and Culture: Great questions – simple answers? Compromise in practical cultural research

Autor: Culture Zone Wrocław

During the second edition of the "City and Culture" Conference, held between the 18th and 19th of October, cultural managers from across Poland will meet in Wrocław one again to discuss different aspects of compromise. Our audiences, their expectations and hobbies are crucial for us.

Researching of is still one of our main interests. During the “City and Culture” Conference, we’ll continue to investigate this topic with a special focus directed to the participants of our projects. We all well know that they are not homogenous and they change from season to season. Having that in mind, we’d like to update our knowledge about them and to engage them in the research process often based on extraordinary methodologies. You’re kindly invited to join us during the “Great questions -simple answers? Compromise in practical cultural research” workshop lead by Natalia Brylowska from the Instytut Kultury Miejskiej in Gdańsk. The workshop will be held on the 18th of October.

The goal of the workshop is to find an answer to a question: How to engage (or not) the audience in the search for the answer to our questions and problems. We will work on skills and knowledge about the practice of cultural research using alternative sources, methods and tools.

You’d like to know more about how to develop meaningful research questions, search for sources of knowledge and verify them or how to choose the right method of research on specific issues? You’re looking forward to getting to know more about creating alternative research tools and methods or customizing traditional research tools to your needs? This workshop was designed for you!
